Our Community

Makers

We’ve carefully chosen our community of makers and collaborators — thoughtful, skilled craftspeople across the British Isles who pour passion and purpose into their work. From material selection to the final finishing touches, each partner brings a deep respect for quality, process, and enduring design.

Prints

THE PRINTER'S DEVIL

To produce our text designs, we work with Stephen Kenny of The Printer’s Devil — a letterpress studio based in Hackney, East London.

We were drawn to both his process and his passion - and loved getting hands-on in the studio with him, selecting type and working the press ourselves.

The vintage type blocks Stephen has are as old as, or even older than, my dad. They have the scratches and marks of a life well lived — bringing a unique richness and depth to the designs.

T-Shirts

CWT

To produce our organic cotton t-shirts, we work with Karandeep at CWT, a family-run factory in Leicester.

CWT began life three generations ago in a coal shed, where two brothers started fixing clothes with a couple of sewing machines, and grew into a trusted local manufacturer known for quality and craftsmanship.

We chose to work with CWT because they share our belief in doing things properly — taking time, using the best, sustainably sourced materials, and making products that last.

Socks

CALEDONIA HOSIERY

To make our socks, we work with the amazing Caledonia Hosiery — a small, family-run factory in a beautiful area just outside Inverness, Scotland, led by second-generation sock-maker Steve Elton.

Steve is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to sock-making. We love his passion and enthusiasm for quality, and for getting the details right. He only uses high-quality yarns sourced as close to home as possible, and every single sock is checked at every point in the production process.

Supporters

Building something from scratch takes a village. We've been lucky to have incredibly generous people give their time, skills and expertise to help Dad & Dolly grow — from design and styling, to PR and web development, all offered freely and with genuine belief in what we're doing.

Neighbours

Our local community is our lifeline, and something we don't take for granted. We are grateful to have the support of local businesses who have shared their spaces and time so generously for this project and provided us with great company along the way.

One of our photoshoot locations, Frank's is a Fitzrovia institution that has been feeding the neighbourhood for decades. Dad is a big fan of their homemade lasagne, served by the kindest and friendliest Portuguese team who've worked there for years.

The legendary Italian deli where we have our morning coffee, catch up with local friends, and watch the world go by. Giovanni and the team at Harris have been with us from the start — and it's where we shot our very first Dad & Dolly photoshoot.

The camera shop and gallery just around the corner, who hosted our first launch event. Owner Patrick joins us for coffee at H.T. Harris most mornings — and his team have helped us restore and print many of dad’s old photos for his walls, and for our memories.

Our local pub, and the setting for one of our photoshoots. Manager Pandy always comes out to greet us with a smile on our dog walks, and never forgets to have treats ready for Dolly and Nicky. We love their sausage rolls and crispy potatoes.

Cheerleaders

We would never have started this had it not been for our @dadanddolly community on Instagram — whose enthusiasm, encouragement and love for Dad's style gave us the confidence to start, and keeps us going.
