WISE GUY SOCKS
Our Wise Guy Crew Socks take their cue from the same era as the original ringer t-shirt that inspired our collection. Standardised by the US military during World War II for comfort inside heavy boots, crew socks - with their ribbed leg and cushioned sole - became an everyday staple from the 1950s and 60s onwards. While many of today’s mass-produced crew socks can feel thin, synthetic, or lose their shape quickly, ours are purposefully substantial: a high-cotton blend for softness and breathability, a cushioned footbed for all-day comfort, and an elasticated arch that keeps them in place. Properly made, comfortable, and ready for decades of wear.
MADE IN SCOTLAND
Our Wise Guy socks are made in Scotland at a small, husband-and-wife-run factory in Moray, on the edge of the Highlands. Steve and his team use UK-sourced yarns and traditional Italian circular-knit machines renowned for their precision and longevity. The yarn is 100% cotton (not a synthetic blend), with small amounts of other fibres added only where needed for shape and lasting quality. The unusual gauge of the machine for this type of sock gives each pair a beautifully cushioned, slightly chunky feel.
